Congratulations to Anna Caroline
Howerton who was crowned 2023 Cherry River Navy Sweetheart at a special
Coronation Ceremony held at the Cook Family Farm in Richwood at 12:05
p.m. Saturday, August 5th, 2023.
The ceremony was witnessed by family members Scott, Melissa and Scotty
Howerton and grandparents Wally & Karen Howerton.
Anna,
is the the daughter of Scott and Melissa Howerton of Winston-Salem, NC. Her maternal
grandparents are Anita & the late Rick Cunningham, as well as great
grandfather Junior Paul “Pap” Cunningham and great grandmother Charlene
Cunningham of Fairmont. Her paternal grandparents are Walter & Karen
Howerton of Richwood and Kathleen Howerton of Ohio.
She
is an active member of the South Fork Church of Christ. Anna attends
High Point University in High
Point, NC where she was recruited for the HPU Panthers Women's Golf
Team.
Anna
is very honored to reign as the 2023 Sweetheart of the Cherry River Navy.
